Guide to using the feature of this site.

Our aim:
|
|
|
|
|
With hundreds of wigs to choose from, even
more if you count all the shades, our aim has been to design a web site that assures
that our customers choose the right wig them. As you might imagine, this has left
our design team with quite a mountain to climb to make a success of the
'Purely' site and then to go on to push us ahead of the other less experienced
wigs suppliers that are just entering the industry.

The Technologies:

Our Product Comparisons Bar with all round
360º High Definition images.
At the beginning of the project back in 2005, we decided to close the design team
here at 'Purely' in a small room and asked
them to create something new and amazing to meet the unique challenge of displaying
to our customers the full range of qualities of the
'Purely Collection' and all over the internet on either a PC or
Mac. A little time passed and after some drilling, sawing and banging, we found
in our photography studio a machine capable of scanning our products, not just in
360º all round images, but in full 3D. We were of course suitably amazed that
in 2006 we became the first web site to present full High Definition 360º images
of our product to our customers. (Full HD 3D will arrive on the site soon, followed
by images of our models wearing the our products in full 3D)

Products that can be viewed in 360º images are signified by a small symbol
 in the top
right hand corner of the product image.
|

|
|
How to place a product into your Comparisons Bar:
|
|
|
|
|
At the bottom of the screen you will find
what we call our Product Comparisons Bar, you can add up to six different products
to the bar making it easy to return to interesting products and compare your choices.
|
|
|
Throughout the site you will find an icon
displayed in the top right hand corner of most of our product pages. By clicking
on the
icon your selection will be added to the Comparisons Bar below. To signify the addition
to the bar it will popup to its open position and then once loaded, it will close
again.

|
|
Minimize / Close / Hide the Comparisons Bar:
|
|
|
|
|
By clicking on the  icon you can open the bar allowing
you to easily navigate to a detailed view of your selection, or manage to content
of the bar.
To the right of the Comparisons Bar there is an icon
allowing you to minimize an open bar returning it to its closed position. If you
click on the same icon with the bar in its closed position, the bar will be hidden
from view. Just add a new product or change the page and the bar will be restored.

Removing a product from the Product Comparisons Bar:
|
|
|
|
|
Easy, just click the
icon and the product will be removed from your choices.
You don't need to worry about your selection being lost if you decide to go make
a cuppa, as all of your selections are stored in your local cookie on your own machine.

|
|
|
|
360º rotational images:
|
|
|
|
|
The Product Comparisons Bar allows you to
view the 360º images enabling you to Play and Pause the rotational images by
clicking the
icon. The first click will start it rotating and the next click will pause it.
Viewing the 360º images a frame at a time: In paused mode, just roll
your mouse pointer over the progress bar
to select any of the frames; move back and forth to find the best view.
BIG images: Increase the definition and size of the images by clicking on the 'show 360º image in HD' link, which will
open the HD page. Once the HD page is open you will be able to open the image into
its own widow onto your desktop.

Other site features - Exclude Products:
|
|
|
|
|
At the top right hand corner of each product
image you will find the
icon. We have added this feature to allow our customers to gradually refine their
choices by removing product from view as you browse the product pages of the site.
Click on the
icon and after a few seconds the product will disappear from the page. Once the
page has been refreshed a small thumbnail image of the wig will be placed at the
bottom of the page. The 'Click here to refresh this
page' link will also be added to the bottom of the product list allowing
you to easily update any changes that you have made.

Restore excluded products: Restoring is a simple matter of clicking on the wigs
thumbnail image at the bottom of the page and with the next refresh it will appear
back in the main listings for you to review again.
